I think you're thinking of another restaurant. Chris

I can vouch to all: when someone is serving you from a stainless steel “cow bucket” you should know that the repast is going to be very promising. First of all, in Indian culture, it is uncouth to serve oneself. It would be abhorrent for any Indian host to allow one’s guest to feel so unsatisfied that she was obliged to grab the serving spoon for herself. It is a sublime art imbedded in the culture to satisfy one’s guest before she can even begin to ask for more. Consequently, a small bucket (1.5-3 gals) is simply a practical implement to serve out food in a timely and efficient manner. Typically, everyone is sitting on the ground in rows. If the bucket is stainless steel, that is considered first-class. I do admit, however, it was a little odd the first time I was served out of what appeared to be a cleaning bucket. : ) Srila ______________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile.
