Guest guest
FYI, several local Starbuck's locations now carry organic vegan fruit scones! I bought one today and it's pretty good - not as good as the ones I make of course, but definitely won't give vegan baked goods a bad name... My local Starbuck's in the Castro (SF) has them, and I hear that the Berkeley location near the Gourmet Ghetto has them as well. Check www.starbucks.com to see if your local store carries them, and send a nice letter telling them how cool this is! -Kim

Guest guest
The starbucks by my work (in Palo Alto) has them and I wrote a review for Yelp noting it when they started carrying them:http://www.yelp.com/biz/starbucks-palo-alto-5 -- Love Always,Robin ¸.~´¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ .·´ -:¦:- '
Guest guest
This is kind of cool. I have contacted Starbucks a couple times (as I do many other companies) and let them know their competition, Peet's, offered vegan items. I don't think my one voice changed Starbuck's view. But there must have been enough voices to Starbucks impact them. If we continue to ask for companies to carry products for us, they will change. So, it's nice to hear the positive affects groups like ours can make on the world. Keep up the great work everyone, keep emailing, keep writing, and keeping living positive. Lastly, remember to thank those that make little changes or good out on a limb and expose the truth. I recently sent a thank you to a reporter who exposed Ringling Bros. He was very happy to receive the positive feedback. Also, plans on doing more. Starbuck's may not be your coffee of choice. But little steps like this, can make the world of difference for us all. cheers! Mari
Guest guest
Hi all. I was SO excited when I saw these vegan scones at the Starbucks I sometimes go to where I live (San Leandro) and where I work (Redwood City) a month or two ago. They were really good! But now they seem to have disappeared...really depressing. I haven't seen them at any of these places in the past two weeks. I asked one store and they said " They just weren't selling so the manager stopped ordering them. " So if you do go to Starbucks, please please buy them and comment to Starbucks that you like them! So, now I'm back to Peet's, which always has very good vegan scones and cookies (except that they run out fairly often!). I'm going to email a comment to Starbucks, telling them that I will be choosing Peet's because they consistently have vegan choices. I would usually choose Peet's anyway if possible, but in many places (like San Leandro), it's just not there. -Rachel
Guest guest
i know it's a bit of a late reply on this one, but a starbucks in pleasanton started carrying them, too! there's one i know of so far in san jose that doesn't...and the csr i talked with said it depends on how they sell at their various locations. perhaps some frequenting of starbucks for scones is in order? while you're at it, don't forget to obide by your moral obligation to have a tasty vegan scone from peet's coffee every so often, either. do what you gotta do...eh? ps. my friend and i wrote starbucks a letter way back when asking them to carry some vegan baked goods, giving peet's as an analgostic situation. we both received generic form letter reponses at the time...but, then again...look at what's happening now!!! keep pushing the veganism! the animals are counting on us! will ============================ www.mathematicsiffmusic.blogspot.com ============================ www.lightbrownnoise.blogspot.com ============================ ....by the pythagorean + beans.
