Guest guest
I hate to say this, but please don't support PETA by ordering products from their website. They have recently been attacking folks who are trying to make various cities no-kill for homeless cats & dogs & they are also supporting bans & killing of all "pit bulls"! This is one of those things I would have thought someone made up if I hadn't gone to their website & read it for myself, so I invite you to do so... as does my peaceful, mostly vegan "pit bull"!;>) At this point, I give my dogs so few biscuits that I wouldn't worry about their being fat-free. They get so many vegetables instead! This morning I was preparing my lunch & had four hungry faces waiting patiently for carrot & radish scraps -- it's all conditioning, I guess. Guest guest
Carrot and radish scraps.....allllright!!!!! When I do my juicing in the morning, I have two dogs eyeing the pulp. They wait patiently until I'm done and I divvy it up in their bowls. I love them enough, however, that I don't give them the part with the hot peppers....laugh....! Just goes to show....animals can and will almost anything! Guest guest
Is it just me, but I could swear Dr. McDougall believes dogs and cats should eat meat because that is what their teeth and digestive tracts are made for. Seems to me vegan dogs and cats are like you and I eating meat. But what do I know!See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage. Guest guest
OMG, I googled the PETA accusations since I actually could not find them on their site. While it is my experience that shelters that do euthanize are cleaning up after "no-kill" shelters that screen the animals so that animals are at least handled humanely, PETA sounds like they've gone off of the deep end. Who else is organized to take their place? Btw, my two sweet wire fox terriers (who never met), Glory (yes, rescued) and Cricket, both used to enjoy grapefruit with me!! - ellenweinstock Wednesday, October 24, 2007 8:41 AM FFV dog treats I hate to say this, but please don't support PETA by ordering products from their website. Guest guest
It is my understanding that dogs are omnivores (like pigs, bears, and humans), which is why they have survived as our close companion and right-hand-"man" for so long. Cats seem to be carnivores, hence their proclivity to hunt even with ample food available, but I wouldn't know for sure - Rzwierlein Wednesday, October 24, 2007 9:07 PM Re: FFV dog treats Is it just me, but I could swear Dr. McDougall believes dogs and cats should eat meat because that is what their teeth and digestive tracts are made for.
