Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone can tell me about the detox stuff that " works " through your feet. I've seen patches and a foot spa thingy. Supposedly drawing the toxins out of your body through the bottom of your feet. The patches turn dark and the water in the foot spa turns dark, the color depends on how many toxins you have in your body. I am just having a hard time believing it. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with it or knows anymore about it. Thanks in advance for any info! BB, Rayne
Guest guest
Not sure about toxens, but I've heard of wearing wet socks to bed when you have a cold. It supposedly draws fluid from your upper body to your feet to warm them up, thus clearing up your sinuses. May be drawing on the same principle, just marketed to be able to sell something. Do a basic search on the internet and you may find some others commenting on it. -Jeannine Nourish A Child.org Private Breastfeeding Classes Lactation Educator Certification Workshops Barefoot Books & Earth Mama Angel Baby www.NourishAChild.org Professional Education, Loving Support & Holistic Parenting Products

I don't know anything about the patches, but the foot spa works on electricity, not detoxification. If you don't mind a few swear words, you can read the details here: http://harosingapore.blogspot.com/2006/01/evil-toxins-shit-thru-feet.html The executive summary is that the foot spa has mild electricity running into it and the darkening of the water is due to the electrolysis effect of the electricity. The water would still become dark if the foot spa were turned on and nobody's feet were put in it. Sparrow
Guest guest
I have wondered about those detox things too. I also heard that a soak in a bathtub with some epsom salts in it is detoxifying. Is this true? Does anyone have experience with this? Because of health problems I can not get into a tub, would just soaking my feet in water with epsom salts detox me some? Anyone? ~ Susan , " Rayne " <stargazerlily72 wrote: > > I was wondering if anyone can tell me about the detox stuff > that " works " through your feet. I've seen patches and a foot spa > thingy. Guest guest
I'd be interested in this, also. I recently found out that I have very high levels of mercury and arsenic...scary! My doctor suggested chelation therapy, removal of fillings, etc. Problem is that we want to get pregnant and will start trying next month and he doesn't want the metals released. Any experience from the group? I feel like I need researched and documented info. before trying anything like this, it's a bit ominous to me. , " Rayne " <stargazerlily72 wrote: > > I was wondering if anyone can tell me about the detox stuff > that " works " through your feet. Guest guest
Ask a real doctor. Remember 80% of everyone in EVERY profession, totally sucks at it. You job is to identify the 20% and deal with them. I'm VERY alternative medicine, but I'm not stupid. MANY alternative " healers " diagnose a problem, then sell you a solution. A visit to an enlightened MD may reveal that the problem you were diagnosed with doesn't actually exist or need fixing. I happen to live within range of Dr. Fuhrman www.drfuhrman.com An MD and the big daddy of the fat free vegan method of curing disease. Personally, I would hunt down an actaul MD of this sort and let them figure out if you really have a problem.
Guest guest
EXACTLY, I was going to make and sell these things and bought some for study. Saved water from use on several people and saved water from use WITHOUT anyone's feet in them. Tested the water in the chem lab at the local university. Bottom line, NO DIFFERENCE. The things (3 different popular models) don't do anything, no detox. All they seem to remove is your cash. I even see places like spas where you can go and have the useless proceedure done for $50 a shot. The best detox still seems to be adopting a strict, low fat vegan diet, with no exceptions and trusting that your body (the ultimate genius healer) will know what to do when it gets superior nutrition and no junk.
