Guest guest
Sometimes I forget how much I like the really simple foods, and then I have some and I remember. Right now, I'm eating the sweet potatoes from the organic box, just baked, with nothing on them. James hates sweet potatoes, so they're all for me, and they're YUMMY. I also like cold baked potatoes on their own, and earlier today, I had an orange by itself and just thought to myself, " Now, why don't I eat oranges more often? They're so good! " What are your simple pleasures? Serene

Guest guest
You said it. I love grape tomato's, black olives, of course avocados, ( cold ) baked potato's, and I really love a good sweet or regular crisp cold pickle. When I was younger in Phoenix, AZ, I use to eat hot pickles.MMMM!! Another thing, am I the only one who loves cold food, you know food straight out of the refrigerator. On the alternative I really hate burning hot food. cacophonous_joy <cacophonous_joyTo: Sent: Thursday, March 27, 2008 5:41:44 PMRe: The simple things My simple yummies: avocados, pears, blood oranges, grape tomatoes, pomegranates (though it's not so simple trying to get out the seeds), black olivesamber kitty <rainbow.throwup@ gmail.com> wrote: i had an orange around lunchtime and thought the exact same thing! I keep a container of " refried " beans (pressure cook two cups of dried pintos, mix with minced onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, oregano, a little wine vinegar, a little hot sauce. Blend it all in the food processor until it's creamy.) in the refrigerator and a package of whole grain tortillas on the shelf. I have at least one burrito, sometimes two, every day and just eat it cold: lay a tortilla on the counter, spoon about 1/4 cup of beans into it, throw a handful of baby organic greens on top, roll up and walk off chewing happily. Guest guest
Back when I was younger ( when I ate meat because I was forced to ), it use to be cold chicken, and pizza, but now I love a jar of pickles. I even drink some pickle juice. Sometimes I cheat with the fat free pringles. I only have a small hand full though. I love cold spaghetti.
