Guest guest
Very cooling on a hot day, or with a hot dish, part condiment part salad. Traditionally made with yoghurt, I had better luck substituting tofu than soyghurt for this oe Blend together One tub silken toffu Juice and pulp from one lemon 1 chopped cucumber a bunch of chopped scallions a pinch of dillweed. Chill and serve with Dal and chappatis, or rice and curry Lovely over bean patties in a pita or as a salad dressing!
Guest guest
Thank you for these wonderful Indian recipes. Indian foods are my favorite, and I love having the vegan method of preparing them. Can't wait to try! MaryIt's Tax Time! Get tips, forms and advice on AOL Money Finance.
Guest guest
You are quite welcome, Mary! I love taking a familiat dish and transforming it to a fatfree vegan delight! This week, Im going to experiment with some chutneys. They are almost exclusively fat free, and vegan , but tend to have a lot of sugar and salt in them. Will try out a few ones using whole fruits instead I do love making the flatbreads. They are quick to make fresh, and easier than trying to bake regular loaf bread in my tiny apartment kitchen. Glad you liked them! Carol - marylizzy Saturday, April 12, 2008 19:07 PM Re: Simple raita Thank you for these wonderful Indian recipes.
