Guest guest
Hi all, just thought you might find it interesting that Oprah is currently trying out being vegan for 21 days. http://www.oprah.com/foodhome/food/cleanse/cleanse_main.jhtml I glanced through the recipes, and well, they are NOT low fat, but can easily be converted to healthy versions that we love.Perhaps this will help the awareness of our lifestyle choices. warmly, Shaylawww.wownowsystem.com

Guest guest
I have been following that and I noted that the program she follows has her cutting out caffeine, sugar, gluten, and animal products — but not fat! I found it interesting that they are using oil in those recipes. Ah well, I agree that it can only help promote veganism. Yeah Oprah! Guest guest
May still be high in fat but it's a huge step towards possible veganism.SamanthaCoop <rodstruelove wrote: I have been following that and I noted that the program she follows has her cutting out caffeine, sugar, gluten, and animal products — but not fat! Guest guest
Hopefully some of Oprah's many millions of followers will try some of the recipes - and they'll probably like them better if they've got a decent level of fat! Doing vegan catering for groups which include many omnis, I find that people especially love creamy sauces - and it's something they don't expect in a vegan diet! At the last conference we catered, I had to double my original estimate of how much sauce people would put on their meals. Guest guest
Oh of course! I didn’t think she would go fat-free, what I meant was that the woman’s program that she’s following has her on a 21 day cleanse, so I just found it odd that the cleanse eliminates so many other things, but not fat. That just surprised me. But yes, any step toward veganism by Oprah, even if temporary, is a big deal – so many others may try it now!
