Guest guest
Indeed, there was even a class action lawsuit brought against McDonald's for vegetarians (particularly those with religious reasons for the diet). http://www.mcspotlight.org/media/press/mcds/chicagosuntimes100103.html I'd received the paperwork back then, just out of curiosity (I don't eat there, so had no intention of joining). Compensation looked to be tied to frequency of having consumed their fries over the timespan in question and reason for being a vegetarian, with religious admonitions weighed more heavily than, say, animal rights. As you can read in the news pieces in the link above, the dispensation was not without controversy. -Erin http://www.zenpawn.com/vegblog - Gretchen Shapiro Friday, June 13, 2008 9:18 AM Re: Re: Nuts >Michele Martin wrote: >>I thought I was safe with rice mixes...and McDonalds french fries...she >>says they are flavored >>with some kind of beef product (does anyone know if this is true?). >Yes, unfortunately.
