Wow. What a tough episode to watch. On multiple occassions I had to

divert my eye contact with the tv screen. The abuse to animals was

really rough to watch. AND AS WE KNOW ROUGHER TO EXPERIENCE FOR THESE

ANIMALS.

To see the calf rescue (veal farmer) and realize he lived in a 2x4'

crated pen his entire life and watch him take his first steps after

being rescued, just brought me to tears.

Then to see the in the animal shelter, happy as could be come out of

his cage, only to be taken to a back room behind a curtain and

euthanized right there on the spot.

Horrific animal experimentations, in some cases on living animals.

Just terrible. I was so proud to be vegan and an animal activist.

It was just so emotional. I think we should thank Morgan Spurlock for

doing this documentary. You can post to the sites message boards at

Episode as noted:

PARTICIPANT - George Snedeker, 42

RESIDES - Chapel Hill, NC

OCCUPATION - Handyman

AIRDATE - Tuesday, June 17, 2008

George Snedeker is an avid hunter who considers it much more than just

a sport; to George, hunting is a way of life. George hunts mainly for

deer meat and tries to use the entire animal in order not to be wasteful.

For 30 Days, George will live in Los Angeles with vegan Melissa

Karpel, 29, and her vegan family: parents Don and Madeline Karpel and

her sisters Stephanie and Kimberly, who are 25-year-old twins. Melissa

is a Los Angeles Campaign Coordinator for the People for the Ethical

Treatment of Animals (PETA), a non-profit organization that fights for

animal rights on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade

and in the entertainment industry.

George will participate in PETA initiatives including a demonstration

at a popular fast food chain, work at a local farm animal rescue

center and meet with various organizations such as Last Chance for

Animals, a non-profit group dedicated to animal rights.

Yesterday, I blogged about this upcoming episode. I expected

to find comments like yours there this morning, but instead...

Back when he did his Supersize Me documentary, after it was all

said and done--his health having been compromised significantly--

his vegan girlfriend probably saved his life with a vegan cleanse.
