As the guy who helped select, edit, and evaluate recipes for " No More Bull! " I

can tell you it's fine to post it here, as long as you credit accordingly (I'm

waaaayy too busy... example: just finished putting 15 Winter Squash plants in

the ground in 95 degree heat index and it's been a battle as my co-gardener has

been ill... lotta plants need to go into the ground that we started weeks ago).

As to TVP: like any meat analogs, sparingly would be my advice. I remember how

easy it was to load up on meat analogs in my early veg years and the resulting

lethargy taught me a lesson about " living foods. " Have fresh salads and veggies

frequently.

I picked Bryanna's recipe as it was one of the best I've ever come across.

...'sides... TVP does make killer loaves, meatballs, and chili..... and I think

added fat to your diet is a much bigger problem than processed TVP.

Best, Mark

Okay, I realize that I am clearly in the minority here, but I actually like

tvp! Call me crazy, but...

It's not something I eat very often, but I like a handful in my chili for a

little texture. The main thing I make with tvp, however, is a Vegetarian

" Meat Loaf " . Everyone in my family loves it, including my meat-eating husband.

The recipe is in " No More Bull " by Howard Lyman, and the recipe itself is

reprinted from " The Fiber for Life Cookbook " by Bryanna Clark Grogan. I don't

think I'm allowed to post the recipe here, but it's quick, easy and really,

very delicious.

Believe it, or not....

Cheryl

I remember when she used to post her " Loaves file " on the VegSource

message board now and then. So many different varieties of loaves, so

many different flavors, including fish and ham! I haven't been over

there in a long while so don't know if it's still active, but a

VegSource search for them might bring it up.
