Hi there

There are a million different fruit juices to drink. There are also

natural sodas - might be really helpful while you're weaning yourself

off your old diet! I'm in New Zealand, so we have different brands, but

if you check out your local natural foods store, they'll have some

healthy sodas available.

Best wishes

Alice

Also, if you like the fizzy part of soda, you can try sparkling mineral water (and you can add sugar-free, natural juice, too). I haven't had a Coke in probably 12 years but before, I had one a day, at least--I don't miss it at all anymore.TeriAlice Leonard <alice wrote: Hi thereThere are a million different fruit juices to drink. There are some pretty good natural soda options. Hansen's makes good

root beer and ginger ale. There are other brands that I haven't tried.

You could also make your own soda. You can try to win one of the

machines here: http://www.formykidsonline.com/free_stuff.htm

This is an area I keep slipping up with too, and not quite mastered it yet. i

have found

that I like fizzy water with a squeeze of lime in it or a small amount of orange

juice. I

also love green tea. Mostly I miss a coke straight after my evening meal, and

so I brew

the green tea just before tea so it's ready once the meal is over. A lot of

people like

green tea cold with a twist of lemon in it, but I don't fancy cold tea.

Shell.

What can I drink?

I have been crossing over to the vegan side (hehe), and have been a

vegetarian for a week now. I decided to do this, like I said earlier,

because of reading the book " Skinny Bitch " . Not only have I given up

meat, but I am trying to give up artificial crap. I used to drink Dt.

Coke all the time...gave that up last week, too. I don't miss the meat

at all, surprisingly, but today for the first time I really wanted a

soda! I kind of feel like all I can drink are water and organic apple

juice. I don't like tea, hot or cold. I know there's got to be tons

more out there to drink, but could you help me!!?! Is it only fruit or

vegetable juice? Don't mean to sound dumb, but this is someone who

didn't even know what the word " healthy " meant not too long ago :-)

Thanks guys! I'm so glad I joined this group! You are all so helpful!

I do have one more question on soda: Isn't the carbonation really bad for you,

too? So,

wouldn't sparkling water be just as bad?
