Guest guest
I have been crossing over to the vegan side (hehe), and have been a vegetarian for a week now. I decided to do this, like I said earlier, because of reading the book " Skinny Bitch " . Not only have I given up meat, but I am trying to give up artificial crap. I used to drink Dt. Coke all the time...gave that up last week, too. I don't miss the meat at all, surprisingly, but today for the first time I really wanted a soda! I kind of feel like all I can drink are water and organic apple juice. I don't like tea, hot or cold. I know there's got to be tons more out there to drink, but could you help me!!?! Is it only fruit or vegetable juice? Don't mean to sound dumb, but this is someone who didn't even know what the word " healthy " meant not too long ago :-)
Guest guest
Nannakin, I don't drink juice either as it is mostly the sugar part of a whole plant. Start with drinking water and add some fresh lemon, whole strawberries or other sliced fresh fruit. Stir up a bit so the flavor spreads. Lime is also good. If you must drink juice then make it in a blender using whole fresh fruit or vegetables and add water. Also try the healthy kind of teas, like green and white tea. Consider it an experiment. It is a lot of fun. I "decided" I like all vegetables and fruits and everything in the produce department. Amazingly, this "decision" is working rather well. It is an act of will and helps to erase a lot of mental dislikes we developed as kids. Shelley H
Guest guest
I drink about 6 to 8 oz. of orange juice almost every day. For me it's an easy way to get my Vit. C and calcium, and I haven't had a cold in years. When time permits, I eat an orange or green pepper instead.
