Guest guest
Hi everyone I really want to make this delicious sounding recipe from Susan's blog, however, I don't have whole cumin seeds or whole cloves--just ground cumin and ground cloves. Does anyone have any idea what the substitution would be? I know I should get some cumin seeds as I love cumin so much, but I am lazy and I find the ground so much more convenient! I am going to make it in the crock pot so I don't have to heat up the kitchen. Here is the link to the recipe: http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2008/08/achiote-beans-recado.html Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much Courtney
Guest guest
Hey Courtney, I would use somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves--just enough to give a slight taste. Hope that helps! Guest guest
I'd go with an equal amount of cumin. Hope you enjoy it!
