Guest guest
Although I've been espousing vegan eating lately I had not been faithful. I apologise. But for the last three weeks I have been 100% no added fat vegan (reading this group everyday for months was so encouraging) and guess what? I've lost 17 lbs! Having said that, here's this mornings juice and it was absolutely delicious. In Blender with ice and water to fill... raw... 1 banana 6 baby carrot 4 spears asparagus handful of spinach leaf jalapeno (1/2) 3/4 cup whole frozen blueberries 2 oranges squized 1 plum pitted This made a very sweet and yummy juice that left my lips tingling. Guest guest
Hi Russell, Sounds like you are doing really well. You don't need to appologise, we're not the vegan police! We're all just trying to do our best and a few slip ups along the way isn't going to matter in the long run of things. The smoothie sounds wonderful, I make a similar one for us, changing the fruits and veg to what we can buy. Although I have to admit that fresh pineapple in there is my absolute favourite. I have a fabulous gadget for getting the fresh pineapple out. You sort of screw it in one end and when you pull it out it leaves behind the skin and the core. Makes eating fresh pineapple a dream. The only thing is you need to choose fat pineapples, as the gadget is too wide for skinny ones and you end up getting bits of skin left on. We also love raspberries in there too and strawberries. Nice with a red pepper thrown in as well. We love our smoothies. keep up the good work!
