Guest guest
I am having the ROUX-EN-Y gastric bypass procedure after much thought and consideration. 5'7" 270. I know fat free vegan is the best choice for long term weight loss and health. But at first it will be hard to keep my nutrient levels stable and I have to drink protein drinks and vitamins and minerals. Is there a vegan protein drink out there? Guest guest
Indeed there are! I use both rice and pea proteins. Brewer's yeast (my fav is Lewis Labs) or spirulina are other options I enjoy. There's now also a RAW rice protein available, meaning it's not been heated above 90 F. I reviewed it on my blog here: http://www.zenpawn.com/vegblog/2008/06/25/raw-vegan-protein-sun-warrior-review/ But, if you decide to try it, you'll want to get the coupon code for 20% off first: http://www.zenpawn.com/vegblog/2008/08/30/sun-warrior-coupon-code/ Hope this helps, and best of luck with the surgery. One of the guys with whom I used to play poker had it done, and it definitely worked for him. <shrug> Sounds like you've not taken the decision lightly, so I'll refrain from an opinion. Guest guest
Samantha, May I talk to you on your email. I am thinking about doing the same. I have tried everything. It seems to me a bypass and this way of eating is the only way to go. My weight (probably a genetic thing for my age) is hurting my body too much right now and my heart. Thanks, Tom On Sat, Sep 6, 2008 at 12:35 AM, Samantha Who? <bulkorspam-groups wrote: I am having the ROUX-EN-Y gastric bypass procedure after much thought and consideration. 5'7 " 270.
