Guest guest
Hi, Finally made pizza with the boyfriend last night. My toppings were: swiss brown mushrooms, pineapple, capsicum, red onion, pineapple, satay tofu and lots of basil on a base of BBQ sauce. Home-made dough modified from La Dolce Vegan with tried basil and salt and pepper mixed in. What are your favourite pizza toppings? Mushrooms, onions, peppers (capsicum), green olives, green onions (scallions), artichoke hearts, spinach, minced garlic -- basically, I love them all. And sometimes I use Crumbles, but they're not low in fat. Serene

My boyfriends are neither low-fat nor vegan, so if and when I eat them, that's a topic for another list, on so many levels. :-) Serene
Guest guest
I steamed some mushrooms a few times this week just to see if they would taste like the ones I used to sautee in butter. They were just as good or actually better tasting because I could really taste the deliciousness of the mushrooms themselves. I could also save the cooking water in the winter for gravy or to make soup broth with. They only took about five minutes or 10 minutes to cook, and they were cut very thick. They were the regular white mushrooms found in nearly every grocery store. Steamed mushrooms are delicous! Bon Appetite! Maureen
Guest guest
How thinly did you slice the boyfriend..? _ This list is for non-fat vegan recipes only. Unless the boyfriend's BMI was 0% , this pizza would be neither fat freee nor vegan! :-P I like Artichoke hearts, pepperoncini, mushrooms garlic and fresh basil, with a tomato garlic sauce, thin sliced tofu and a wholewheat crust lc carol
Guest guest
My favorite is of course pizza sauce, sliced Vegan Italian Sausages (home made, link follows), bell pepper (capsicum) and onion, and sometimes a bit of black olives. I sprinkle nutritional yeast over the top. I often make it on a whole grain tortilla rather than pizza crust. It doesn’t get firm enough to pick up like pizza, but I just roll it up like a burrito and it’s so good!
