** 'Kosher' has to do with Jewish dietary laws; its when a rabbi blesses

something.

For example, pork becomes kosher with a blessing. So, kosher is not a guarantee

of vegetarian.

I cant recall ever buying a kosher product, unless it was indeed vegetarian.

Pork can never be kosher. A rabbi would never bless. Neither would a rabbi ever bless shellfish.

No blessing would ever result in pork being Kosher.  Pork NEVER EVER becomes Kosher!  My goodness...      Martha WilliamsOn Sat, Apr 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM, yogini_valarie <yogini_valarie wrote:

** Your right. I should have used 'beef' instead. Not being Jewish it didnt

occur to me. Either way, my point was that kosher is *not* a standard for being

vegetarian.
