Guest guest
Fellow health seekers, I am in shock today. My beloved husband passed away quite unexpectedly on Sunday. Just got the autopsy report. All four of the arteries into his heart were blocked, despite being compliant to the program! ! How could that be? I am so distraught--widowed twice in seven years. :-(Martha
Guest guest
That is so very tragic Martha. I am so sorry. Perhaps this was an inherited condition? You try to do everything right........ Guest guest
Martha You have my sincerest condolences. I have been on Dr. Esselstyn’s diet for three years. I am 65 years old and had 7 bypass grafts put on my heart with 2 open heart surgeries over the past 15 years. Last year I had a 64 slice CAT scan done of my heart and discovered that 5 of the 7 grafts on my heart had completely occluded (blocked). I am staying on the diet and have initiated a vigorous exercise protocol that has grown new arteries around the failed grafts. How many years was your husband on the American western diet and how many years was he a fat free vegan? Also, what kind of exercise was he doing? Guest guest
I too wish you a long life in the face of your very sad loss. I wonder did you get his cholesterol below 150? Guest guest
having cholesterol below 150 is no guarantee a person is "safe" from heart problems. My father has had cholesterol levels around or below 150 his entire life, and 5 years ago underwent emergency triple bypass surgery.
