Guest guest
Hi everyone, My hubbie and I are eating far too many burritos now that a great Taco Bar opened in our town. I've got to start making a healthier version, using less fat. Does anyone (Susan?!!) have a tried and true recipe? From what I've seen on the internet, you can use milk to use less fat. I wonder if rice milk would be ok? My love-handles will thank you. Suzie Russell

Guest guest
I haven't made them, but this recipe looks easy and has gotten good reviews: http://www.recipezaar.com/Fat-Free-Whole-Wheat-Tortillas-109481 . When I have a chance, I'll test them out and report back on how they were. Guest guest
Hi Susan, This was a fantastic recipe! Thanks! I followed the advice of several of the contributors and added a tsp of baking poweder to the recipe. It's very important to add the water slowly to the dough mixture because it becomes sticky very quickly because of the lack of oil. I made burritos for lunch today - strips of onions and peppers water-fried till brown and soft, with refried beans (simmered onion and black beans with 1 tsp cumin, blended) and chopped, skinned tomatoes with sweetcorn. OMG. Delicious. Hubbie and kids wolfed it down. Easy to do and very satisfying to make my own. Fancy another one now... Suzie
