Guest guest
Some of the grocery chains here (Public & Winn-Dixie) have a special section for organic and vegan foods. Dorothy in N. FL.
Guest guest
Most of the labels say 100% dried semolina. Thanks for the heads up on this, though. My goal has been to model veganism for the frugal (not the desperately poor) so that we get long-term value for our spending. I argue the same around whatever the term 'healthcare' is going to be taken to mean. I thought that MOST pasta in grocery stores is vegan (basically refined flour and water). Is that not the case?If that is NOT true, a great many erstwhile vegans are not really practicing the dietary side of veganism after all... IF most store-bought pasta is NOT vegan-friendly. On Sat, Oct 3, 2009 at 12:11 PM, llanwydd <llanwydd wrote: I hope this isn't a dumb question but are there any vegan pastas? If so, could anyone recommend one to me. I would probably make a vegan primavera sauce to go with it.

My goal also, and the reason I stick on other " frugal cooking " " lists to punch in vegan and healthy recipes. Cooking vegan from scratch, buying in bulk and supplimenting from a small garden is the most frugal, healthy and sustainable diet there is! If the nation ate this way, there would be no need for national healthcare, whatever its form. Cheerios! lc carol
