I don't really do smoothies, but when I had a juicer, I had some fave

fruit/veggie juices:

1:

3 apples

1 carrot

1/4 beet

2 stalks celery

2:

2 apples

2 carrots

a cup or so of raw spinach leaves

2 stalks celery

3:

4 apples

2 stalks celery

1 bunch parsley

And my very favorite lemonade ever is juiced from 5 apples and a quarter

of a lemon (including peel) over a glass of ice.

Wow! This one sounds great. I'm going to have to try it.

I like a tropical smoothie:

fresh pineapple

mango

banana

in amounts you like

2 great big handfuls of baby spinach

ice and water

Very refreshing. Can also add orange if you like

coconut flavoring would probably be good too. Would make it like a pina colada.

I'll have to try it!

To get that coconut flavor I wonder if you could try the tiniest splash of coconut water. I cannot remember the fat content of it though. I don't mean the cream or milk in cans, I have seen a waterier beverage called coconut water in some Asian stores which is supposed to be from young coconut.-Erin "marylizzy" <marylizzy Sent: Sat, October 10, 2009 5:22:57 PMRe: GREEN SMOOTHIE TIME

Yes, I put coconut water in my tropical smoothies sometimes. It does add a little coconut flavor.

Erin, They are also now selling coconut water at Whole Foods. You have to be careful though. The kind that is merely the water from inside a coconut comes in a silver paper container. It's in the section with the refrigerated drinks. There is another coconut water sold in a can that has added stuff we don't want.

You could just eat the ingredients listed, but to make it into a smoothie as Tom suggested you would run them through a blender and drink (or spoon) the resultant liquid. On Fri, Nov 27, 2009 at 7:53 PM, John Wickham <johnwickham60 wrote:
