Guest guest
The carcinogenic effects from BBQ'ing food come from using meat/fat. Grilling veggies, tofu, etc., do not produce the same negative substances. I haven't BBQ'd in awhile (prefer roasting). I do recall reading a recipe somewhere recently that involved using cornstarch in a marinade instead of oil to marinate, say, tofu. A quick " fatfree marinade " search using a search engine yields some interesting possibilities. The trickiest part if grilling a veg protein is keeping it from sticking to the grill. I've used a " vegetable/fish " basket in the past to " roast " the veggies on the grill. I've also barbecued pizza crust then added topping and a hood on the barbecue. Do note that " tofu pups " and other meat analogs tend to cook very fast. FYI, Mark
