Guest guest
I just purchased silicone bakeware (8x8; cupcake; loaf pans). i am NOT using oil in them to cook. Food seems to release ok. BUT, when I open up the oven door, while I dont see any smoke coming out, my fire/smoke detector in my house continually goes off each time I bake with the silicone Im thinking of returning them. Has anyone else had this problem with their silicone bakeware? Ea item was washed after purchase before using. Thanks Tom
Guest guest
Weird. No. I have the silicone bakeware and haven't had this problem with them. I've been using them for several years now. I love the way the muffins pop right out. Mary Tom Fronczak, LICSW <TJFronczak Sun, Nov 29, 2009 8:41 am Silicone Bakeware Problem? Sometimes my smoke alarms go off even when the oven is just pre-heating, when it's totally empty. They're just super sensitive sometimes.
