Just blog posted about my experience making kimchi and sauerkraut. A must try!

No added fat, raw, incredibly tasty.

I've imbedded resource links, recipe links, and such, in the post. Here's the

direct link:

Some people don't like kimchi and/or sauerkraut. Me? I'll NEVER buy the canned

stuff again (of either). The difference in taste (and nutritional profile) is

significant. Can't wait to try this with other vegetable combinations as well

as making no-yeast beverages.

And it's so amazingly easy to do (lacto-fermentation) and the actual cost is

considerably less than that of store bought.

Enjoy! Mark

After viewing your pictures, my mouth is totally watering!

I love good kimchi, and yours looks fabulous.

I would buy a batch if I could...

Ever consider going into the business?

Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Thank you for passing this on. I love kimchi and sauerkraut. I have an Amish recipe that's almost sauerkraut, and it is absolutely wonderful.  Of course, my husband's a little dismayed that I no longer serve it with ham and butter lambs on Easter, but that's another story.

May we leave our failures behind, accepting instead the Savior's gifts--healing from our disappointments, refinement through our experiences, and His ultimate commendation, 'Well done, thou good and faithful servant' (Matthew 25:21). http://store.therawdiet.com/pisaandkimch.htmlThis looks pretty interesting and the jars seem like they would be easier to handle than the crocks.I think I am going to give these a try for my first attempt.
