Guest guest
How's everybody else going with this? I had great plans to follow it obediently, but very quickly discovered I hate being told what to cook and heat...! And since I'm very busy creating and testing recipes for my healthy cooking classes which start next month, the house is full of healthy food anyway. I'm keen to hear how others are doing. Just what not to eat (animal products and lots of fat). I'm not using the menu plans; I'm just doing a three-week vegan " kickstart " , and it's going GREAT for me. On January 1st, I unthinkingly popped a non-vegan candy into my mouth, but I got those out of the house, and I've been completely vegan ever since. I feel great, and I'm having a terrific time on the Kickstart boards. I may just keep it up after the 21st. > And since I'm very busy creating and testing > recipes for my healthy cooking classes which start next month, the > house is full of healthy food anyway. Guest guest
>How's everybody else going with this?I'm reading each days info. Yet I've already been eating l-f vegan so haven't necessarily been following their menu plan. I've enjoyed being a part of the program just the same and have copied a few recipes for future use. Guest guest
As for that candy.... unless you live in a cave it is entirely likely that something like that might happen again. Over the holiday I was at my MIL's and grabbed a cracker off a plate without thinking. Turns out it was not vegan. Don't beat yourself up over that stuff, just continue to do the best job you can do. Congratulations on how long you have lasted! -Erin Serene <serene-lists Sent: Mon, January 11, 2010 10:50:07 PMRe: PCRM's Kickstart Alice Leonard wrote:> How's everybody else going with this? Guest guest
I'm doing the kickstart for the recipes, but I'm skipping around. I didn't need to kickstart my vegan plan as it was kickstarted long ago. But I love getting more recipes and doing the quizzes which I always win. I made Rip Esseltyn's Oil-Free, Low-Fat Hummus and Vegetarian Sandwich Wrap last night and it was a winner, but not scheduled by their plan. (I used the hummus in the wrap.) My husband said that was one he could eat often, so it goes into my personal fat-free vegan recipe book. By the way, when I sauteed the veggies to go in the wrap, I used only water. Rip doesn't say in his recipe. Guest guest
I've just been watching it too. Seems like lots of " stuff " but not focused enough for me. I've been too consumed with SparkPeople.com for losing weight and tracking food nutrition and exercise. Please do share your recipes with us!!! , Alice Leonard <alice wrote: > > How's everybody else going with this? > I had great plans to follow it obediently, but very quickly > discovered I hate being told what to cook and heat...! > And since I'm very busy creating and testing recipes for my healthy > cooking classes which start next month, the house is full of healthy > food anyway. > I'm keen to hear how others are doing. >
Guest guest
I've been totally vegan for almost six years and have absolutely no desire to eat non-vegan foods - I don't know whether it's easier because I'm vegan for ethical reasons more than for health reasons (altho that, and the environmental aspects, are a nice bonus!). So I guess I just don't need kickstarting. And yes, I'll post some recipes here soon!! thanks for the reminder. Oh, yeah, and I don't worry about it. I'm still eating the way I prefer, on the whole. > Over the holiday I was > at my MIL's and grabbed a cracker off a plate without thinking.
