Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am having problems with my eating. I was vegan for a year and initially i lost weight, then started gaining weight as i craved more and ate more. Lately with back issues, thyroid issues, and nervous issues i began questioning my diet as the source of my lack of full health. I went back to eating some cheese and some meat, and more fat. I am craving nuts and sweets and fat. I overeat hummus, the fattening kind. Vegetables don't satisify my hunger, i need protein. But i am binging on fattening and sweet things. How does a vegan reach and maintain her ideal weight. Any thoughts from experienced folks out there? Regina
Guest guest
Regina. Wondering if your questions, specific to health and diet are best served by meeting indiv with a plant based dietitian. Since majority here are not MDs or RDs, best to not give medical advice. A well balanced plant based diet contains all you need (no extra protein needed) for healthy life. As T Colin Campbell says there is no nutrient obtained from animals that cannot be obtained in a better form from plants (except B12). Which animals pick up from the dirt anyway. Best to you. Also check out the www.drmcdougall.com discussion forums for more specific medical advice or consult with http://toyourhealthnutrition.blogspot.com/ -------Tom
Guest guest
I can understand where you are coming from. My mother is my inspiration. She is a carnavore and is on weight watchers, I incorporated her point system into my vegan eating and i have lost 30lbs. This also helped me to maintain my correct eating habits when i felt like i was falling to the side, or was not eating the right balance. Google weight watchers info, and if you need help, please let me know. It made me feel healthier and kept my mind clear. , regina424 wrote: > > Hello everyone, > I am having problems with my eating. > > Regina >
