Guest guest
I found some recipes I would like to try, but they call for celery seeds: I have never tried them and cannot find them anywhere. Is there any substitute you would recommend? Or should I leave them out? thanks everyone
Guest guest
They impart a nice flavor so would try to locate some. Do you live in the U.S.? If you can't find them in the spice section of a store, you can order them online at places like Penzeys. If you're needing them right away and can't find them, I'd add some chopped celery to the recipe. Won't be quite the same but is a good substitute in a pinch. I'm sure others on here will have some other good suggestions. Guest guest
You could substitute celery salt, or possibly finely chopped celery (not the same flavor). I especially love celery seeds/salt in tuna salad.
