Not sure where I got this recipe. Possible PCRM email, though uncertain. Regardless, it is AMAZING!!!!! Delicious. So healthy. No added fats. To make barley flour I just put same amount of whole barley in my vitamix grain container.= barley flour!!! Enjoy. This one I gave 5 stars!Tender Barley CornbreadDirectionsMakes 6 servings 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal1/2 cup barley flour 1/3 cup whole wheat flour (regular or pastry flour)2 tablespoons sugar2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon baking soda1 cup reduced fat soymilk1/4 cup unsweetened applesaucePreheat oven to 425 F. Whisk together the cornmeal, barley, and whole wheat flours, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl.Add the soymilk and applesauce and stir just until mixed. Coat 8" x 8" baking pan with nonstick spray and scrape batter into pan and smooth the top. Bake for 15 minutes. Cut the hot cornbread into 6 equal pieces.

Oh! This sounds great! I called our local co-op just now to ask if they

carried barley flour and they don't. Do you think a Cuisinary blender or a food

processor would possibly break the barley down enough to use it as flour? I'm

thinking it might not! :( I'm gonna save this recipe though as want to try it

out!

Dont know enough about cuisinart. Vitamix has a special grain container to make

flour.

www.vitamix.com or as sponsored on susans site (to give her some credit!!!)

Vitamix has 7 yr warranty. you will never ever need to buy another. Its WORTH

the investment. But it is costly

Consider a refurbished one. Same warranty.

Or get barley flour thru amazon
