The fat grams would depend upon the TYPE of nut and the amount of avocado over a day's period. Considering the range of fat in nuts (if memory serves, almonds are the lowest fat, to walnuts? being among the highest) your statement has limited utility. Furthermore, Esselstyn recommends limiting nuts and avocados intake, and, if you have signs of heart disease, not consuming them at all. 3 oz = about a 1/3 cup. Hardly " one big handful. " 1 oz of walnuts is 14 halves. 2) Fortunately, I don't eat nuts and avocados regularly and 3) this is a fat-free vegan recipe list, and not a forum for debating the amount of fat grams one should consume in a day.
