PLEASE FORWARD / CROSSPOST / BE THERE!! INFO BELOW Fri, 25 Apr 2008 00:16:41 -0700"Jennifer Krause" <lilythedog13Los Angeles Puppy Store Protest Friday & Saturday, 4/25 & 4/26!TGIF - Wanted to let you guys know the sked for the peaceful protests Fri (tomorrow) and Sat. I'm copying LCAs Alert below. Support is really needed right now, because the Beverly Hills location is technically "open" since they have to continue to pay their $21K month rent until someone sub-leases the property, so they are trying to clear out remaining pet products. ("Posh Sublease" flyer attached as PDF in case you

know anyone that can drop $21k/mo;-) Interesting twist: Posh Puppy BH hadn't sold puppies at that location for 7 seven weeks until last Saturday when they decided to close the Tarzana store, and take all of the puppies to the Beverly Hills store (since protesters started targeting Tarzana). We have not been the only ones with their eyes on LA Pet stores, and sick puppies. LA Times has written 2 great articles about the topic, and highlighted sick puppy incidents from yep... you guess it(!) Posh Puppy. And thank you Oprah for getting the message out on a national level. http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-puppy13apr13,1,7138780.story http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-consumer20apr20,1,5334929.story Hope to see you out there! What: Puppy Store and Puppy Mill Protest Spreading the Message, "Adopt-Don't Shop" When: Friday, 4/25, 12:00 - 3:00 pm Saturday, 4/26, 11:30 - 5:00 pm Where: Posh Puppy 18400 1/2 Ventura Blvd Tarzana, CA 91356 (Beverly Hills address, if location changes, 9699 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90212) Contact: Meghan McGill 805-368-9280 or Volunteer (Please call if you have

questions on Friday or Saturday-emails cannot be answered on these days.) You can come anytime during the day, even if you can just stop by for an hour! All materials will be provided. LCA, Best Friends Animal Society & many dedicated animal lovers have been in front of Posh Puppy every Saturday since December 22nd, 2007 spreading the message, "Adopt-Don't Shop!" The Posh Puppy Stores, located in Beverly Hills and Tarzana, are supplied by puppy mills according to LCA investigations. These mills are located locally in Southern California.

We have written previously (and celebrated a victory) that the Beverly Hills store is up for lease and, according to Posh Puppy employees and store surveillance, they have stopped selling dogs at that location. Last weekend, while dedicated animal lovers were rallying at the Tarzana Posh Puppy Store, the owners closed the store down and took the puppies to the Beverly Hills location

and sold the dogs there. No one was discouraged, all the volunteers drove to Beverly Hills and continued to spread the message, "Adopt-Don't Shop!" LCA & Best Friends wants to be clear; We do not want to put the Posh Puppy stores out of business. We want Posh Puppy to stop selling animals and deal only in accessories and supplies. If they were to go "humane, " we would celebrate and promote their brave decision! Until then, we will continue to

go to Tarzana and/or Beverly Hills to speak out on behalf of the animals that suffer in puppy mills and pet stores. Please join us every Saturday in front of Posh Puppy Beverly Hills and/or Tarzana. Contact Meghan at volunteer for detailed information. NOT IN LOS ANGELES?
