New York City Animal Care & Control Partnering with Fur Store - Please Call Executive Director Immediately (Please forward widely) This Friday, June 13th, Animal Care & Control of NYC's (AC & C) weekly adoption event is sponsored by Runway Connection, a store that sells fur products, which are prominently featured on its website, www.runwayconnection.net. The event will be held outside of the store itself at 450 Broome Street. Please contact AC & C's Executive Director, Charlene Pedrolie, and tell her that it is hypocritical and

horrific for AC & C to partner with a store that profits from the torture and death of other fur-bearing animals, and that the proper thing for AC & C to do is to hold this event elsewhere. AC & C should inform Runway Connection that their selling of fur is atrocious and will not be supported by AC & C. Please make it clear that any event to find homes for the animals AC & C is housing (and sometimes killing) is supported and necessary, so long as working with certain businesses and individuals doesn't compromise the welfare of other animals.
