Hunting: Boss Hog -- The Post-Standard (Syracuse, NY)

I knew this was coming ever since when at dinner about 2 mos. ago, my friends' husbands, all hunters, were foaming at the mouth when they mentioned there were wild boars in Skaneateles.

Now this. It's all so disgusting, incl. the newspaper putting a strung up 700-lb, 8 ft. dead hog on the cover of their Sports page -- huge photo (which is not posted online).

He said he was on the ground when this huge hog came "trotting through the goldenrod, it's ears a flapping." Bossard quickly raised his single-shot, 12-gauge shotgun and fired, hitting the hog right behind the ears at about 45 yards. The animal went down, and it took two more shots to finish it off.

The perp has gotten calls from hunters all over the country, and even NYS Senator Michael Nozzolio sent him ma congratulatory letter!! His wife is starting a scrapbook.
