Kangaroos are being used to promote Kangaroo Island in London and other towns and cities in UK.

You are probably aware that the biggest land wildlife slaughter in the world takes place in Australia - the massacre of kangaroos!

How dare the tourism authorities be so hypocritical !

While writing you might wish to state something along the lines:

.... You will not visit Australia, till you hear that the slaughter of kangaroos has stopped ...Before racing off to Kangaroo Island, which sounds like a fascinating place, you did a little research into what is happening to kangaroos (the national symbol) in Australia today... These amazing, unique and gentle animals are cruelly hunted, their joeys are stomped on or beaten to death, thousands of kangaroos have recently been killed in the national capital because they were in the way of housing and roads (although spurious 'science' was used to say that they 'threatened' endangered species. How can a kangaroo do more damage than a bulldozer?), they are constantly referred to as 'pests', and they are now going to be sold to China as meat!

How dare the tourism authorities be so hypocritical? Australia needs to stop 'managing' and 'controlling' its native animals into extinction, and learn how live with them and treat them with respect and compassion before it earns the right to use them as an advertisement ...
