Guest guest
PLEASE WRITE NOW. Truly, your input is needed. There are over 800,000 visitors to Green Lakes State Park annually. Folks swim, boat, run, cross-country ski, picnic, walk their dogs there, etc. Most folks who visit are families with kids. SAY NO TO HUNTING! Hunting with a rifle is bad enough, but bow hunting particularly sucks. And I'd be very worried about public safety. There can be humane wildlife management, and that must be allowed. I would like to thank the rest of you who did as well. I was a bit surprised to see how many at the meeting were pro-hunting, but I was glad to see that the anti-hunting was there as well. The Post-Standard covered the story: http://blog.syracuse.com/east/2009/07/park_patrons_share_their_visio.html. News Channel 9 only showed me and another man both speaking against hunting. The link for the video is http://www.9wsyr.com/mediacenter/local.aspx?videoid=269868 & navCatId=5 and there is text to go with the story at http://www.9wsyr.com/news/local/story/Hunting-at-Green-Lakes-State-Park/6lsE4hwniU6DPz0zO6vmUw.cspx .We need to keep expressing our displeasure with hunting being brought to the park.
