Guest guest
He was a bit weird, and i consider myself to be rather odd, so for me to think anyone is weird is saying a lot! *lol* He started off asking me about being a vegetarian, and how would i survive when the Three Sisters and Yellowstone erupted and we all were forced to live off the land and in caves.... then he segued into the blueberries being good to strengthen my night vision, and then he got REALLY strange and started talking about hidden undergroud races of giants that would come up to eat us [ think he refered to them as Erlogs]. Oh my... and of course our government has known about them forever but just aren't telling us! My kids laugh because i seem to attract the weirdest people when i am out in public so it is always entertaining! *lol* Guess i am a good listener and i put out the kook-vibes. Anyway, enough about that. Here is a site that tells all the wonderful health bennies of the blueberry, and they even mention the night vision thingie in the smaller print: http://www.suffolkblues.co.uk/health.html Oh, and i see blueberries are a cousin to the billberries. ~ pt ~ Material things by themselves do not bring happiness and peace of mind. Guest guest
No, no, no.... I am a little eccentric. This guy was looney-tunes! *lol* He was fun to listen to though. Everytime i make something with blueberries in it my kids will say something smartass like, " Oooooh, good for our night vision so we can fight off those Erlogs! Guest guest
Too funny - we are, who we speak. Makes life interesting I suppose so long as we're not talking to the voices in our head. ...we should be talking " with " them. har har. Man I likes me the blueberries big time. And of course they are incredible for us, that's why they are a bazillion dollars per small container. I can buy a truckload of high fructose corn syrup for 2 pennies and half a cheese puff but the healthy produce is big mullah. Anyway, I've been big into cereals as of late. I saw a brand (post selects i believe) with blueberries and picked that bad boy up. Of course I picked up some bananas as usual (seriously nothing better than blueberries and bananas - added to some already bought raisins and vanilla soy milk). There's always some sort of IF. This particular flavor of cereal of all of them was the only one I saw that wasn't whole grain. The first word (not even ingredient, just word) in the ingredients list was " degerminated " . I looked it up quickly and from what I gathered it means that they took all of the good stuff out of the grain (in this case corn). Anyone have any idea why this process exists? So I'm going to try another cereal and buy one of those bags of dried blueberries that ya see near the raisins. PT, thanks for that link. Wow, reverses aging! I'm with you on the blueberries and bananas! Check out my blog at www.zenpawn.com/vegblog , where the last couple of entries have featured these spectacular fruits. -Erin
Guest guest
I usually have a banana strawberry smoothie for breakfast, but when I'm in a hurry, I put a handful of raw oatmeal in a bowl and pour vanilla soymilk over it and let it soak for a few minutes, then I add corn-flakes (or any other breakfast cereal that I happen to have on hand) I then sprinkle a teas.of wheat-germ over the top.-- Recently I have been pouring a little of my French Vanilla (fat free) coffee creamer over my cereal to make it even yummier. (And of course you can always add bananas and/or blueberries etc) Tia -------------- Original message -------------- subprong <subprong Too funny - we are, who we speak.
