Guest guest
I thought this lemon cake sounded wonderful too and I rarely like things that are very sweet, but think this is something I want to try. My question is was it a lemon pound cake or just a cake mix? And the lemonade was straight from the can undiluted? And do you think one would have to use a tube pan? Isn't a tube pan just one of those angel food cake pans? linda > > , " wwjd " <jtwigg wrote: > > Lemonade cake, which everyone loved but me. It was way to sweet > for me. Guest guest
She used a reguluar boxed cake mix. I bet a lemon pound cake would also be good. She used the small can of frozen lemonade concentrate undiluted. the tube pan can leak a little bit, so set it on a large dinner plate when you pour the lemonade on it. Yes the tube pan is like the ones you make angel food cake in, with the removable bottom. Judy - linda Tuesday, May 09, 2006 8:08 AM Lemon cake? Guest guest
I noticed that I said she let it cook for 30 min. I meant let it cool for about 30 minutes before pouring the thawed lemonade concentrate over it. Cook cake prior to this according to your package instructions. Guest guest
i bet one could get away with using a regular bundt pan, too. This cake does sound good and sweet. i'd need a big dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream to go with it. ~ pt ~ Too late I understood That love is not in the blood, But in every simple kindness I denied To those to whom I owed humanity, Just because they were day by day beside me. ~ Kathleen Raine, 'The Oracle in the Heart' ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " wwjd " <jtwigg wrote: > > She used a reguluar boxed cake mix.
