Guest guest
i sure know what you mean here! i never liked the taste or texture of beef so when i became a vegetarian i naturally avoided products that were vegetarian but trying to be beef-like in flavor. i prefer the brands of veggie burgers that taste more like grains and veggies than those that look and taste [to me] like i remember real hamburgers being; namely there are a few Boca brand veg burgers that sort of freak me out! *lol* Give me a Gardenburger any day! ~ PT ~ Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. ~ H. Guest guest
I might be making a post 2 times, did something while I was writing. I don't miss meat and the fake burgers are the lazy way I used to cook until I joined Donna's group and then I came in here and printed recipes up. I like to use the lentil loaf and I put salsa on top of it. Guest guest
Yeah, i agree...those veggie burger recipes in the files are so good and pretty dang easy to throw together. But i do confess there have been times i have enjoyed the boxed ones; i still like my Gardenburgers and they have a new sundried tomato-basil one that is so yummy! Go ahead Paul, call me lazy! *lol* ~ PT ~ Every cask smells of the wine it contains. ~ Spanish proverb ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " paulvatoloco " <paulvatoloco wrote: > > I might be making a post 2 times, did something while I was > writing. Guest guest
Ooooh! The Gardenburgers Chik-N-Grill, vegan, are fabulous as are their vegan breakfast sausage patties. I had a list of the Gardenburger vegan patties and now can't find it...is the tomato basil one vegan? I could look it up though. LOL But you are our leader. Okay, I looked it up...it's not due to the cheese. However, these are...Chik'n Grill, Herb Crusted Cutlet (anyone try that? Any good?), BBQ Cutlets (these were incredibly salty and I am a salt addict), the Breakfast sausage (which I already raved about) and the Mama Mia's meatballs that I haven't tried. Since these are listed under their veggie specials I think that I would do better with them. They list there Black Bean Chipotle burger as vegan...sounds heavy...and the Garden Burger and the Classic. Haven't had any of them. linda " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll > Yeah, i agree...those veggie burger recipes in the files > are so good and pretty dang easy to throw together. > But i do confess there have been times i have enjoyed > the boxed ones; i still like my Gardenburgers and they > have a new sundried tomato-basil one that is so yummy! > Go ahead Paul, call me lazy! *lol*
