Guest guest
i make a wonderful peach iced tea by adding 4 peach tea bags [naturally decaf by Celestial Seasonings] with one large decaf iced tea bag by Luzianne. i let this steep in 2 quart mason jar full of hot water until it gets nice and brown and comes to room temperature. Then i swirl in two heaping tablespoonfuls of sucanat; this is plenty sweet enough for me. After the sucanat dissolves i pour everything into a 4 quart pitcher and add another 2 quarts of ice cold water, then stir. Chill in the refrigerator and enjoy over ice while you groove to the Allman Brothers Band. Yummy, not too sweet and way better for you than sweet teas are. Info about what sucanat is for those who are not familiar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sucanat ~ PT ~ The ingratitude of the world can never deprive us of the conscious happiness of having acted with humanity ourselves. ~ Oliver Goldsmith
Guest guest
This Peach iced tea sounds so " refreshing " on the hot days that we are having now. Don't tell my daughter that I used the word " refreshing. " She says it sounds so " cheesy, " a word that I detest. I get these daily sayings and I thought this one was a good and very practical one that I will try to remember next time I visit someone in the hospital since we usually end up talking just about their illness or why they are there. I am not sure why but it did seem to me to be something to at least try. linda <<Hospital Etiquette When you visit someone in the hospital, talk to the person and leave the doctors and nurses to talk to the sickness. --Ajahn Brahm in Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung? from More Daily Wisdom, edited by Josh Bartok, Wisdom Public>>
Guest guest
I think it's a just-fine word! And I like that quote, too. Blessed be, Jayelle , " linda " <lindai81 wrote: > > This Peach iced tea sounds so " refreshing " on the hot days that we are > having now. Don't tell my daughter that I used the word " refreshing. Guest guest
I love it, too. This one is sweet, but not overly so and we drink a lot of it when the weather is hot. ~ PT ~ The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
