It's gigantic and you are tired out by the time to get to all the booths. Most is organic, very fresh. Somtimes I find a better price at the large Asian market but it doesn't usually claim the veggies are organic. >

I'm near Los Angeles and I shop at the large Latino markets. I don't think the tomatoes are organic but some of the other vegetarbles are. I also shop at the regular markets and Whole Foods and I do find organic vegetables at those places. >
Guest guest
There is one here but it is from 1-3:30 during the week one day so I am at work! Otherwise it is 30 miles away and very inconvenient. I try to grow my own if at all possible considering I have the shortest growing season west of the Rockies. Linda
Guest guest
Our questions for May 28th- June 3rd, '06 are: 1. Do you live in a community that has local farmer's markets and access to locally grown fresh produce? Although my community (Carrboro, NC) is small, we have a great, outdoor, local farmer's market that is open from mid-March through the end of December. It's open both Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. 2. If you do, describe how large or small it is, and if you think the variety of veggies and fruits are good. What about over-all value and quality? Are they organic for the most part? I think the variety of veggies are really good, considering it's not a huge market. Items available range from fresh lettuce, herbs, radishes and other seasonal veggies, to goat and cow's milk, to soap, to pottery, to veggie plants, to the best pecans I've ever tasted (and where else could you learn that there were over 140 different varities of pecans!?). I think that the large majority of the produce is organic, but all the farmers are happy to answer any questions you have. i don't buy produce anywhere but the market now. Messenger with Voice.
