I am currently in the process of moving from Reno, Nevada to Omaha, Nebraska (actually Ralston, Nebraska, but same area). I love bananas. I eat banana bread, banana pudding, banana cream pie, peanut butter and banana sandwiches, fried bananas (including green & red bananas, and plantains), and fresh, raw, yellow bananas (both whole and sliced on my cereal). I even eat yellow bananas with brown freckles and stripes, but when they get mushy I only use them for milkshakes. Have a nice month! I dream as I walk and walk in my dreams. Reporting in for the June roll call (I love that PT does this! gives me a chance to post, even if I don't have a delicious TnT recipe to post) My name is Paula and I live in central Texas near Waco I do like bananas. I like the texture and the taste. They are really like a comfort food...easy to eat. I like them when they are a little on the soft side of firm. Brown spots indicate this! Great in morning smoothies and I just got a tip a few weeks ago from one of the veggie groups that was really neat about breakfast drinks. Don't know who to credit, but put a few scoops of uncooked oatmeal flakes into the blender with the fruit and juice and whatever else. It thickens the smoothie and adds a lot of good nutrition. Thanks to whoever I got this from!!!! My son loves it! I've never branched out into any of the other colors of bananas than yellow, although I've seen the little red ones etc. Thanks again for such a great group--Glad to be here!
