Home which is North Bay Village, FL in the US (between Miami and Miami Beach on the bay) 3. Are you a vegetarian, and if so, how do you choose to label your path, if at all? I'm not into labels much, though I keep most animal products from my diet. I lack many enzymes that would aide in the digestion process and that's where it all began about 12 years ago. I find I am healthy and happy! 4. And just for fun: Do you like watermellon? I like the natural fruit, but I don't really like things flavoured with watermelon... I cook vegan at home but if I'm out or others have cooked I may have some dairy or egg-I'm a glutten for cookies. I DO like watermelon. The best way I have learned from someone else here to label my vegetarian path, is to say I am a " happy vegetarian " . *lol* > 4. And just for fun: Do you like watermellon? No, I don't really like watermellon that much, but I will eat it if it is in a fruit salad mixture. I like canteloupes though. Although I am leaning more and more towards eliminating all meats and meat-products from my life, I am not 100% vegetarian at this time. I am still eating meat and dairy products, although much, much less than I did even 5-years ago. 4. And just for fun: Do you like watermellon? Yes, I like Watermellon. Something that I love to do is put chunks of ice-cold watermellon in my blender, whiz, and then drink with a straw - heaven on a hot summer day!! Are you a vegetarian, and if so, how do you > choose to label your path, if at all? Not yet. I have been cutting back on eating meat slowly over the past 18 months or so. When I eat meat, it's mainly chicken/turkey. I joined this group awhile ago and have been lurking, saving recipes and getting ideas. If/when I do give up meat completely, I doubt I could go vegan. I love cheese and eggs too much. I also have Type 1 diabetes, and while I don't really do low carb I do watch my carb intake (fewer carbs = less insulin = fewer mistakes = keeping weight in check). So dishes heavy on pasta, potatoes and simple starches don't always work for me. I have to limit my servings of stuff like that. I do love whole grains so when I do have bread & pasta I try to pick the healthier stuff. > 4. And just for fun: Do you like watermellon? YES! As well as other melons, berries and fruit in general. -- Liz

Are you a vegetarian, and if so, how do you choose to label your path, if at all? Yes, I've been vegetarian since I was about 15, (took me a couple years to break the habit!) and I am one because in Paradise, a perfect world, we are vegetarian. Also because it is wasteful to raise animals as opposed to plants, and awful cruel as well. 4. And just for fun: Do you like watermelon? Yes! There isn't anything that my body needs that I can't get from a plant source. However, I can't imagine a world without cheese...or cookies. > 4. And just for fun: Do you like watermellon? Yes, with salt. Is that a mid-west thing? Most fun to eat with a lot of young children, spitting the seeds, loving the laughter and getting sticky and jumping in the water whatever kind it is.
