Guest guest
Again it is really hot today up around 100 degrees So for dinner we had a tomato, cucumber, mozzarella salad. And then I had a slice of whole wheat bread with peanut butter and blueberries. Yum A nice cold dinner for a hot hot day. Gayle
Guest guest
PB and blueberries sounds different - but GOOD! Interesting combo, Gayle. Oh, one thing I forgot to mention about my trip. I had a friend housesitting for our three JRTs and two goddess cats, and while she was here she had to raid the fridge and freezer since her physical condition is keeping her from wanting to drive right now [she has fibromyalsia (sp)]. Anyway, she had fun trying all the different veggie foods I have in there; all the frozen veg burgers and veg convenience items. She said it was a great opportunity to try them to see if she liked any enough to buy a whole box. She really liked everything she tried so she now plans to add more meat-free foods to her diet when she gets her own place. ~ PT ~ Solitude is not something you must hope for in the future. Guest guest
I had a flat wrap with broccoli slaw, a portebella mushroom burger (Gardenburger brand) (sliced), and chopped English cucumber....enough for me as hot as it is in West Virginia this evening. ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll wrote: PB and blueberries sounds different - but GOOD! Guest guest
HI PT: I tried it on a whim one day and decided I liked peanut butter and fresh blueberries. How wonderful that your friend liked the veggie foods. Happy Friday evening. Gayle
Guest guest
Here is Connecticut if has finally cooled a little, this evening it is in the upper 70's as opposed to The other night when I checked the temp at 10:00 it was in the mid 80's. We have had several days of upper 90's and low 100's so upper 70's is wonderful. Gayle
Guest guest
Hello Gayle. Yeah, wasn't that cool! I was so happy she RTF [raided the freezer] and tried some new things. She really liked the Gardenburger brand riblets product and also the meatless meatballs. I told her the GB brand has just changed the packaging so the Grocery Outlet stores in town have the older style boxes on sale in abundance right now. I hope she will stock up and make more meatless meals now that she sees how good they are, not to mention convenient for a single person to make meals. She has a terrible chronic disease so I think it is better for her to avoid meat as much as possible so she can be healthier. ~ PT ~ Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling with the mistaken belief that you can not bear the pain. Guest guest
HI PT: Yes that was way cool. I know a lot of people that like to order Gardenburgers when they go out to eat that are not vegetarian. Happy Sunday evening. gayle
