Guest guest
so i got me a fondue fountain because it was deeply discounted, and because i'm a kitchen gadgets whore. i know i can do chocolate in it, but i'm wondering if other vegan fondue recipes would work in it? i wonder this mostly because in order to make the chocolate work, i have to add a cup of oil to the machine; most fondue recipes i have aren't oily. i have a bunch of good ones from joanne stepinak's uncheese cookbook, none of which are particularly oily. which is a good thing, sez me. so my question is, does anyone have a fondue fountain, and would anyone know if non-oily recipes would work in it? it says you can put bbq sauce in it, so i assume it would be ok, but i'd hate to break it on the first try. i'm also trying, once again, to work up the courage to use my 2 1/2 year-old and still unused pressure cooker. i am seriously convinced i'll burn the begeezus out of myself. any suggestions for using this thing, particularly if one happens to be sort of a klutz with boiling hot items? it's a " splendid " stainless-steel one, if that makes a difference. melody http://www.flawlessfitness.com http://www.melodysmusic.net
Guest guest
Hi Melody. I don't even know what a fondue fountain is, so I guess I am no help there. Do you have a picture of it? I am curious now. ~ PT ~ The happiness of man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions. ~ Alfred, Lord Tennyson ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " nadiana01 " <nadiana1 wrote: > so my question is, does anyone have a fondue fountain, and would > anyone know if non-oily recipes would work in it? it says you can put > bbq sauce in it, so i assume it would be ok, but i'd hate to break it > on the first try. Guest guest
Looks pretty fancy, and sort of Willy Wonka fun. Thanks for sharing a picture of what it is.
