Guest guest
I love oven dinners. That's where every dish is cooked in the oven at the same time. I also love my crock pots. Joanie
Guest guest
Super easy dinner would be a sandwich of some kind. Gayle
Guest guest
Our question of the week for August 20th-26th is: What is your favorite super-easy dinner?
Guest guest
That is so easy it must be a trick question. Eat out, restaurant, no work, no dishes and only a little thinner wallet. Worth it. > Our question of the week for August 20th-26th is: > > What is your favorite super-easy dinner?
Guest guest
Here is a couple of favorite at our house. We make them once a week during ball season...We come home starving and want something quick and fillingJudyHaystacks ( very quick delicious meal in 5 minutes) 1 bag of Corn Chips 1 lg. can of Bush Chili Beans or make your own Sour Cream Grated Cheese Chopped onions Chopped Olives Chopped Lettuce Chopped Tomatoes Chopped Green Peppers Heat the Beans. You can either keep the Salad type ingredients separate or mix them together like a salad( I do this). We then let everyone make their own haystack when they are ready to eat. Do it in this order. Put some Corn Chips your plate first. The put some hot beans over them. Then the grated cheese(being next over the hot beans helps it to melt/soften some), sour cream and the salad type toppings. Add salsa if you like.Pockless Pita Bread PizzaPocketless Pita Bread Rounds1 Jar of Pizza SauceToppings of choice Blend together Parmasean, cheddar and Mozzeralla Cheese with some dried oregano. Sprinkle on top and and bake. .
Guest guest
Perhaps it is this; I make it very frequently: Throw diced butternut squash, garlic, onions, mushroom caps, and diced peppers into a glass baking dish. Spritz with butter-flavored oil and sprinkle on cinnamon, cumin, and chipotle (my " Three C's " ). Bake in covered dish for 40 minutes at 425 F. As this nears completion, cook up some pasta. To the pasta, add Lewis Labs Brewer's Yeast, making a creamy sauce. Toss in chopped tomatoes to warm them (or put in the baking dish toward the end). Combine baked ingredients with pasta and enjoy. Oh yeah! I also bake up chunks of seitan too. I like it crispy and so put it in on an oiled tinfoil-covered baking sheet. However, if you prefer to keep it moist, put that in the baking dish too. Guest guest
Ok...we're a little different. We do breakfast in the eves and our bigger meal in the morning. So our favorite quick meal in the evening is cereal with Almond milk, sweetened with maple syrup. Yummy!!! Guest guest
I make this a few times a month...actual prep time is only about 10 minutes, cooking time about 20-30. Miso-sesame green beans and tofu 1/2 block firm tofu, drained and cut into cubes or slices green beans, as much as you want, or other green veggie (we're used broccoli or spinach or a mix) 3-4 tbsp sesame seeds, lightly toasted 1-2 tbsp red miso 1-2 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce or bragg's liquid aminos 1-2 tbsp rice vinegar 1/2 tsp honey or maple syrup, optional ~Trim beans or other veggies and set aside. ~Preheat over to 425 degrees F ~Mix miso, soy sauce, vinegar, sweetener (if desired) and sesame seeds until they form a thick, smooth sauce (The exact amounts of the liquid ingredients vary on my mood). Separate out about 1/3 of the sauce and set the rest aside. ~In a large ziplock or other container, add the tofu and the 1/3 of the sauce and shake until tofu is coated. Pour out onto a baking sheet and spread out into one layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes. ~Meanwhile, steam the veggies until tender-crisp, then run under cool water and drain to stop cooking. Toss veggies with almost all of remaining 2/3 of sauce, saving about 2 tsp. ~Remove tofu from oven and place on top of veggies on a serving plate. Drizzle with remaining sauce and maybe top with more sesame seeds. Nice to serve with brown rice or quinoa. ~Rachael How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Frozen or packaged meal, like an Amy's frozen entree or Tasty Bites Indian meal. Sometimes I just have cottage cheese with fruit & wheat germ. -- Liz
