Guest guest
Alright, I start school tomorrow and I need some ideas about what would be good to take with me. I will keep a cooler in the trunk of my car to keep things in and I need to know what foods would be good to take that I can carry with me for between class snacks. Guest guest
I usually find that apples, pears, raisins or other " portable " fruit is a great snack to have on hand. I also make up my own " gorp " by visiting the bulk bins in my health food store. I mix cashews, peanuts, sunflower seeds, raisins, pumpkin seeds, etc. for a salty sweet protein pick me up. , Valerie Cropsey <fantsybeads wrote: > > Alright, I start school tomorrow and I need some ideas about what would be good to take with me. Guest guest
The Vegan Lunchbox will help BUNCHES. It's a blog with recipes and pictures by a vegan mom whose son wants lunches that taste good and don't look too weird. The lunches are creative, but don't require much more effort than PB & J. I know, I use them for work. http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/ Right now it's summer food, vacations and such, but go back a bit in the archives, to the school year. Start with September 2005.
