(recipe) Crunchy Quinoa Salad - question about where to buy quinoa

I looked for quinoa yesterday at the grocery store and couldn't find it in the

pasta or rice section. Where do you find it at your grocery store?

quinoa is delicious and interchangeable for rice in

some recipes. it's important to rinse the quinoa

before cooking. this removes a bitter coating. the

first time i cooked it i didn't rinse and it was

bitter and yucky. it was years before i tried it

again. glad i did. i just love it.

i find quinoa at the health food store. i have gotten

it at a couple of grocery stores that have a natural

foods section. one brand i know is ancient harvest

and it's in a turquoise colored box. one of my local

grocery stores has it in the bulk bins...lot less

expensive that way.
