I live in an apartment complex that has a natural park setting to it and it is also located in an area not far from undeveloped nature areas. And I love the birds that we get here, even those silly cackles.
Guest guest
We have some really pretty blue flowers that grow near our woods. I guess they are some kind of wildflower, but an extra pretty one.. Mine love to pick those too and put in vases. Little children, do love to have some to pick and bring bouquets to Mom don't they. I also have some beauty bushes that are loaded with beautiful purple berries right now. On the birds are having lots of fun eating them. The yard sounds like I live in a bird avairy all the time. I am so glad it is finally cool enough to open the windows more often and listen to their beautiful songs. Mine picks Zinna's and Roses, that we grow, and put in vases all summer in our house. I just love them both. Judy - Kadee M Sunday, October 08, 2006 1:20 PM Re: Re: ~* October '06 Roll Call *~- Pushy?? Me?? Well, honestly, another reason I don't want my weeds gone is because they have these pretty purple flowers... I don't have the heart to hurt them! My daughter loves picking them sometimes. They're nice weeds, really. And there aren't but a few of them, and they're all in the flower bed. Maybe God knew I didn't have a " green thumb " and planted something I couldn't kill. Kadee Sedtal . Guest guest
That's what I'll call my pretty weeds- wildflowers! I always loved dandelions. I'm from TX where the wildflowers are just magnificent in the spring and early summer. There are some called sweet williams, I don't know if they grow all over or what, but I'd always have to gather up tons of them and bring them in the house because they smelled so good. There was every kind of flower you could think of, and we had a field behind the house that was just full of them.
