Guest guest
Hey group! I have a question, I've been a vegetarian for just over a year, and my sister will hit her one year in December. I was talking to her yesterday, and she doesn't eat much if anything, and told me she stopped taking her multivitamin because it has gelatin in it. Im going out with her today to the local healthfood store to search for vegetarian vitamins (hopefully with iron!), but are there any suggestions you all have? She is a senior in highschool ( " I dont eat a lot because I don't have any time " ), so if you know of any really good protein drinks/health drinks to recommmend, I would be greatful! Guest guest
Hi Amy, I really like Spiru-tein protein powder. My son is a picky eater and I make him shakes with Spiru-tein everyday. I really like the vanilla flavor blended with apple juice and a little ice. Nature's Plus make a good one a day natural vitamin that doesn't contain gelatin or any artifical fillers and junk. They make it with or without iron. susie --- Amy ODonnell <aodonne3 wrote: > Hey group! > I have a question, I've been a vegetarian for just > over a year, and my sister will hit her one year in > December. Guest guest
I have the same problem- forgetting to eat. Something I've been planning on getting is hemp protein powder. Type it into google, it's some pretty neat-looking stuff. Amy ODonnell <aodonne3 wrote: Hey group! Guest guest
By all means, talk to the clerks at the health food store. They are most helpful. Joanie
Guest guest
I always recommend the organic, food-based product line of New Chapter: http://www.new-chapter.com/ As for not eating much, if you find she still makes excuses after you suggest quick, portable alternatives, keep an eye on her to make sure its not an eating disorder in the making. Highschool girls can be rather self-conscious about weight, etc.. Hope this helps, -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog , Amy ODonnell <aodonne3 wrote: > > Hey group! > I have a question, I've been a vegetarian for just over a year, and my sister will hit her one year in December.
