Guest guest
Wow, if she is not eating much of anything, she might be in for some serious health issues down the road. I would think she would need plenty of green veggies (for calcium) or a green drink, and some type of protein (either in shakes or in bars), otherwise where is she getting the necessary protein for bone and tissue growth (http://www.druckerlabs.com/proteininfo.pdf) or (www.vegparadise.com/protein.html) Odwalla bars are good. You might try making a drink with rice or soy milk, some type of soy protein, some fruit juice and maybe some blueberries or strawberries thrown in for added nutrition and fiber. Put all in a blender, pour in a thermos of drink cup, and she can drink it on the way to school, or keep in a thermos for lunch. I see teens drinking sodas all day and eating snacks from the machine...certainly that is not healthy, either. How does she make it through the day without starving? Check with a nutrionist at the health food store for some ideas, too. I do research online and have a lot of websites. If you are interested, I will be glad to email you. I was talking to her yesterday, and she doesn't eat much if anything, and told me she stopped taking her multivitamin because it has gelatin in it. Im going out with her today to the local healthfood store to search for vegetarian vitamins (hopefully with iron!), but are there any suggestions you all have? She is a senior in highschool ( " I dont eat a lot because I don't have any time " ), so if you know of any really good protein drinks/health drinks to recommmend, I would be greatful!
