Guest guest
Hubby and I made something amazing. Take phyllo dough, and put it into a muffin cup, let the corners stand up, and put two pieces of dough per cup buttering in between, then combine apples, any spice you want, and a little cornstarch. put this in your cups, then mix oatmeal, butter and sugar together. I didn't measure, but probably a half cup of each, then crumble on top and bake at 375 until brown, and sugar starts to liquify on top. It will harden into a caramel like shell. I think it was around 20 minutes. Of course, this is assuming you eat dairy. Alia
Guest guest
I think you guys have a hit here, it sounds delish!! So perfect for Fall, they will go great with a cup of coffee or tea. Well I guess these will be on the Sunday brunch menu!! Did they come out of the muffin pan easily or did you grease the cups? If you use soy margerine it will be Vegan friendly too. I think a little cream or half & half or even Vanilla Soy Milk poured on these fresh from the oven would be to die for. YUMMM!! Guest guest
Yes, I sprayed them well with vegetable spray. It was a bit hard to get them out, but they came out fine.
